14’0′ X 24” Infinity Blackfish

Our race boards are designed by Dave Boehne and tested by some of the worlds best. We are dedicated to progressing race design and helping riders reach their potential. With that mission in mind, we work year round on race boards before we are ready to deem them production worthy. Our Carbon “skin” construction is top notch and we take the extra effort with the details in designing the traction, handles, and finish. We are the only board brand to offer twin fin option in production. These boards are meant to look and ride like our custom shapes.
The Blackfish has influenced an industry. All the top race board manufacturers now offer a design similar to the famed Blackfish. Since 2014 Dave Boehne has been developing this planing hull concept with Slater Trout and the team and now in 2018 everyone is playing catch up. Blackfish comes standard with Larry Allison/Probox 4 fin set up.
The design is a planning hull hybrid and is able to paddle in all conditions. Where Blackfish shines is in the elements. Ocean, upwind, downwind, chop, in and out of surf. The stability is built in through the outline and innovative concave design. The planing hull rides on top of the water rather than parting it away like a displacement hull. This makes for very fast get up and go and higher max sprint speeds. “Like skipping a stone” Blackfish likes to sprint and take off from the line. 2018 gained even more stability allowing riders to size down in width and continue to push the speed limits. If you paddle mostly in the ocean or in a flat-water area that has lots of boat traffic and/or changing seasons and conditions Blackfish is for you and will be ready.

Innegra / PVC Hybrid Construction
We’ve taken the “entry” level board to the next level.  We use a combination of industrial strength E glass blended with Innegra to layup the boards shell. Innegra is a premium material that has an incredible impact strength rating.  There are multiple layers of glass with a bamboo veneer inlay on the deck to added strength in the high traffic area of the board.  We reinforce all fin boxes, handles, vents etc in high density strength inserts and cap them for a nearly bomb proof install.  The handle is low profile on the deck but opens up to a generous grab hold within the boards deck for easy carry and loading.
